Within our Transformation department, we are seeking a Change Delivery Manager to drive the successful execution of the organization’s strategic initiatives.

Leading the Change Delivery team, this role ensures strategic alignment, prioritization, while overseeing the full change delivery lifecycle — from portfolio management, to test management framework and project management practice.

The Change Delivery Manager ensures that transformation efforts are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities, while embedding a culture of execution excellence, delivery discipline, governance, and quality assurance across the change portfolio.

Your responsibilities

1. Portfolio Management

  • Lead the end-to-end management of the change portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, business objectives, regulatory requirements, and transformation goals
  • Facilitate portfolio governance, prioritization, and resource allocation in collaboration with senior stakeholders
  • Monitor portfolio performance, risks, and interdependencies to enable informed decision-making

2. Program & Project Delivery Oversight

  • Lead the planning, execution, and governance of strategic programs and projects across the organization
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of key programs and projects
  • Monitor delivery performance, manage risks, and resolve escalations
  • Ensure adherence to scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations
  • Provide guidance and escalation support to project and program managers

3. Project Management Practice

  • Own and evolve the Project Management Framework (PMF) and Project Lifecycle (PLC)
  • Promote consistent use of tools, templates, and methodologies across all initiatives
  • Build delivery capabilities through coaching, training, and best practice sharing to ensure project discipline and delivery quality

4. Test Management Leadership

  • Oversee the Test Management function, including the End-to-End Test Factory
  • Ensure structured test planning, execution, and reporting across programs
  • Promote test automation and continuous quality improvement

5. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of program managers, project managers, and test leads
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Define and track team KPIs to measure delivery effectiveness

6. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Act as a key interface between business sponsors, IT, and transformation governance bodies
  • Provide regular reporting to SteerCos, ExCom, and other senior forums
  • Ensure transparency on delivery status, risks, and dependencies

Your profile

  • You have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • You have 10 years’ experience in program/project/change delivery roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • You have proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional transformation programs, preferably in the life insurance sector.
  • You have deep knowledge of project and program management methodologies (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, Agile) and you are familiar with test management frameworks and tools.
  • You have excellent knowledge of French or Dutch and a good command of the other national language and are comfortable working in English.
  • You are a strong team player at all levels, who collaborates easily and effectively across functions and with Athora Belgium stakeholders to achieve results.
  • You are highly organised and can work to tight deadlines and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You demonstrate capacity to engage and lead people during transformation phase.
  • You are dynamic, solutions and result-oriented.
