YOUR MISSION

As Brand Activation Marketing Manager, you will play a key role within the marketing team and be responsible for the smooth implementation of all brand activations across the various channels where our products are sold (specialist chocolate shops, Chocolate Cafés, shop-in-shops, duty-free shops, etc.).

To do this, you will draw on your in-depth knowledge of consumers and the retail sector in general. Together with your team, you will manage the entire annual activation calendar for the various countries (including Belgium, France and the Netherlands) and ensure the most effective use of all relevant brand touchpoints: this ranges from the general layout of the shop to our shop windows, shelves, displays, etc., not forgetting, of course, the chocolate counter. You will also ensure that sales promotion activities such as tastings, promotions, etc. are perfectly prepared, executed and followed up.

You will work closely with all relevant internal and external partners (sales, marketing, legal department, external agencies, logistics, etc.), with a particular focus on the sales team to ensure flawless execution, and on the Marketing Communication and Brand Development Manager to ensure the most consistent brand experience possible

Thanks to your experience in brand activation, shelf management, trade marketing, etc., you will help improve the activation of Leonidas stores and thus actively contribute to the future growth of the brand.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Understanding the consumer : You understand and analyse buyer behaviour, retailer needs and market trends in order to make proposals for the growth of the brand.

Category management and merchandising strategy : based on in-depth analysis and relevant knowledge, you develop the appropriate strategy for each channel and ensure the implementation of planograms and merchandising standards across the network.

Presentation strategy : in consultation with your direct colleagues, you take the initiative to develop an attractive presentation strategy based on in-depth analysis of our sales seasons and the competition. This forms the basis of the annual activation plan.

In-store experience : you are responsible for the development and (international) roll-out of the store concept and the consistent experience we want to offer our customers.

Activation in airports/duty-free shops : you draw up activation plans and implement them in airports in consultation with the sales team and key customers; you manage the pre-packaged assortment accordingly.

Sharing expertise : As an expert in your field, you are a true business partner for your colleagues in the sales department and share your knowledge with your direct team.

Implementation : You are not only responsible for the strategy, but also for the execution of the activation plan. You take on part of this yourself, but you also ensure that we always work with the appropriate external partners. You always deliver your projects with the required quality, on time and within budget.

Project management : Based on the marketing strategy objectives, you define the appropriate KPIs, perform the necessary analyses, interpret the results and present them. You ensure that the various activations are constantly adapted and optimised.

Up-to-date knowledge : You are aware of the latest trends in retail marketing and, if necessary, ensure that our Leonidas plans are always up to date.

Team management : You lead a team of three brand activation managers.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a master's degree or equivalent qualification.

• You have at least 5 years' experience in a commercial role in marketing, with a particular focus on activating customers/buyers/categories/brands.

• You are fully bilingual in Dutch/French. Knowledge of other languages is an additional asset.

• You have relevant experience in the retail/food (franchise) sector.

• You have proven knowledge of category and shelf management.

• Ideally, you have experience in an international environment.

• You have experience in hierarchical (team) and cross-functional (agencies) management.

• You have an analytical mind and excellent communication and presentation skills.

• You are an experienced, highly structured and seasoned project manager.

• You are willing to travel to neighbouring countries for short trips if necessary.
