FUNCTION

As part of our commitment to driving continuous improvement across Athora Belgium, we are seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead the development and deployment of an ongoing transformation within the organization. You will guide teams to identify inefficiencies, design optimized processes, introduce strong performance management, and lead initiatives that drive operational excellence across the business. The Head of Continuous Improvement will be a key partner in embedding a continuous improvement mindset at all levels of the organization, with a specific focus on the management community to develop and anchor the CI culture in the daily role as manager.


Your responsibilities


As the Continuous Improvement function (TBD), your key responsibilities will include:

· OPEX/CI Capability building

o Developing and maintaining a CI culture through the existing CI Champions Community and CI toolbox / catalogue; with ambition to standardize ways of working further

o Engage with all levels of the organization to adapt best practices (eg. problem solving sessions, gemba walks, ...)

o Connect closely with HR to identify training needs & facilitate opex-related trainings

o Playing a pivotal role in encouraging the right leadership behaviour to ensure the transformation leads to a new way of working and thinking that is sustainable

· Process Improvement:

o Steer process mappings and documentation and pain point analysis across various business functions to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies

o Leading workshops with business stakeholders to design and implement optimized processes

· Performance Management & KPI Development:

o Steer monitoring of performance across the company (external and internal clients) relying on relevant key performance indicators (KPIs)

o Supporting managers to adopt a culture of performance dialogue by monitoring results, addressing deviations, and taking corrective actions as needed.

· Steer Opex Transformation initiatives:

o Identifying and structuring the continuous improvement initiativesacross Athora Belgium, with a focus on driving operational excellence through process optimization, performance management, and efficiency initiatives coming from the shopfloor.

o Steering the implementation progress of identified improvements to ensure objectives are met.

Your profile

· 8+ years of experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives in a business or operational environment (experience in financial services or the Life insurance domain is an asset)

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide teams towards continuous improvement.

· Excellent communication skills, fluent in French or Dutch and comfortable working in English.

· Ability to combine conceptual thinking with hands-on action, to think analytically and challenge the status quo

· Ability to coach & train all levels of the organization
